Swim With Mike Las Vegas

Event Info: Swimming in Las Vegas? Yes! Lake Mead is the largest man made lake in the United States. Backed by the Hoover Dam, there are 5 distances to choose from at Slam The Dam: 1.2 miles, 2.4 miles, 8k. Swimmers are given the option of upping the ante by swimming 2 of these events back to back in the Grand Slam (8k + 2.4 mile) or Super Slam (2.4 +1.2 mile).

Special Note: The 8k is a point to point swim through scenic Lake Mead and will require a kayak escort. Participants in the 2nd Annual Slam The Dam Swim will be encouraged to solicit sponsorships for their swim through www.swimwithmike.org or to make a direct donation during the registration process through active.com.

Open to: Swim entry at www.SlamTheDam.com. This event is sanctioned by USMS, USAT and USA Swimming. Open water experience is required for the 8k.

Masters Challenge: Participants in the Swim With Mike Masters Challenge who raise more than $100 (one entry for every $100) will be entered in a contest to win fabulous prizes. A new prize will be announced each week starting the week of March 1 and continuing through the week of May 23. The contest will end on May 31 and winners will be announced in April. The grand prize will be a trip from the west coast to Honolulu, three nights lodging and a VIP entry into the 42st Annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim.
