Nichole Sheridan

Nichole played soccer for as long as she can remember. As soon as she could walk and kick a ball she was on a team. At just thirteen her whole body mysteriously began to shut down. After hundreds of tests and many stays in the hospital, it was determined that she had Tranverse Myelitis/Myelopathy. High school was difficult at first as she missed two years while in the hospital. Her goal had been to play soccer but there was no chance of doing that from her wheelchair. She decided to try out for the “Trojan Men”, the spirit squad that supports the football team at games. High school football is a really big deal in Texas. In Nichole’s Senior year she was president of Trojan Men, a finalist for Prom Queen, a member of the Student Council and the National Honor Society and hopes to use her degree to become a neurologist.
