Profile

Aidan McPartlin

Aidan ran cross country and was named to the All-Conference team and was a Michigan state qualifier in 2021 while competing for Marshall High School. In 2022 he was voted captain of the school track and field team and earned Academic All-Conference honors as well as being I-8 Athletic Conference champions. In December 2022 he was in a car accident on icy roads, resulting in a C-6 incomplete spinal cord injury and quadriplegia.

After feeling overwhelmed through the surgeries, physical therapy sessions and making life-changing decisions, Aidan is approaching the next step, college, with renewed dedication and applying the work ethic he learned as an athlete. He honed his leadership and communication skills while leading his track team to success in a high-pressure environment, so he knows what he can accomplish. He has volunteered for the Special Olympics and is the co-creator of a podcast with his brother called, “You Wouldn’t Get It,” where they talk about their love of movies and television. He is also a self-proclaimed hard-core rock and roll fanatic and recently attended his first concert. With the podcast under his belt, he hopes to learn more about the industry by studying broadcast media and film at Central Michigan University online.
