Chris, a former swimmer and water polo player, broke his back in a diving accident in 1998. While a wheelchair is part of his life now he has gone beyond that to live life to the fullest and achieve great things. After three years of education towards a B.S. in Electrical Engineering he took a two year sabbatical to do intensive physical therapy through Project Walk. When he returned, he completed his engineering degree as well as a second B.S. in Physics. During those undergraduate years at USC he met his wife Jen. Chris then went on to receive a Ph.D. in Physics. His post graduate plans are to pursue a career with the space program.
