Alex played Junior Varsity and club level soccer, Pop Warner football, basketball and wrestling. He started playing soccer at the age of four. Even when he was not playing organized sports Alex was riding dirt bikes and swimming with his friends. On June 6, 2007 he was in a diving accident which resulted in a spinal cord injury and paralysis at the C 6-7 level. After attending Vanguard University as a freshman Alex was awarded a scholarship from Swim With Mike. He is majoring in History and Political Science and hopes to pursue a law degree and practice athletic contract law. Alex’s dream is to work with athletes.
