Brooke was born and raised in South Florida and her entire family had a deep love for the ocean. She excelled in swimming and diving but her true passion and main sport was surfing. She had several sponsors and was one of the top surfers in the region. She also worked in a surf shop and volunteered for several non-profits including Surfers for Autism and Special Olympics. Three days into her senior year of high school, Brooke dove off a dock into water that was deceivingly too shallow. Her neck was broken in three places and she was paralyzed from the chest down. Since her injury, she stays as active as possible pushing the limits of rehabilitation. She was admitted to her dream school, Savannah College of Art and Design, where she is studying interior design. She has always been fascinated by the arts, her passion for interior design emerged from her injury. Brooke plans to create beautiful and functional universal design.
