Jeff grew up in San Diego and played baseball, ran track and surfed. In 2004 he developed Lebers, a genetic disease which resulted in legal blindness. Thanks to a scholarship from Swim With Mike Jeff completed his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in the fall of 2009 and is pursuing a graduate degree in physical therapy at San Diego State University. Jeff competed on the USC track team and trained with the USA Paralympics Team. Jeff was very involved with Swim With Mike while on the USC Campus and has continued his involvement with Swim With Mike San Diego. Jeff uses the support of Swim With Mike, his family and friends and his faith in God to give him his “drive” and direction to know that he can succeed even with his challenges. He completed his doctorate in physical therapy at SDSU in 2016, and now practices in San Diego.
