Jennifer, who attended USC as a freshman in the fall of 1993, lost her two-year battle with osteosarcoma cancer. Swim With Mike 1994 was a tribute to her spirit and determination. An endowed scholarship was established in Jennifer’s name to honor her legacy and in the Fall of 2008, Kristina Ripatti was awarded the first scholarship from the Jennifer Walsh endowed scholarship fund. This fund is added to each year by donors, swimmers, and any excess Swim money to ensure the program continues in her spirit for years to come.
