Help me raise money for future scholarship recipients.
Mike Nyeholt
Mike Nyeholt serves as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the Swim With Mike Foundation. After a dirt biking accident left Mike paralyzed in 1981, Mike is the name behind Swim With Mike. A Los Angeles native and an All-American swimmer at USC, swimming was a large part of Mike’s daily life since he was young. The first event was held on March 7, 1981 as a one-time fundraiser to buy a specially equipped van for Mike. Decades later, the event was changed from Swim For Mike to Swim With Mike, where millions of dollars have been raised to help scholarship recipients nationwide. When $50,000 was raised, Mike decided to offer the remaining funds to support academic scholarships for other physically challenged athletes. The Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund was born in 1981 and the mission of the Swim With Mike Foundation lives on to this day thanks to Mike’s legacy. Mike completed his bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Southern California. Prior to retirement, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Capital Group.
