After receiving his bachelors degree in Sociology from USC, Tyler received his masters degree in Communication Management from the USC Annenberg School for Communication. After finishing graduate school in 2011, Tyler moved to Las Vegas and began working for an insurance brokerage that helped hundreds of clients make the move to Obamacare. In 2015 Tyler had an opportunity to teach special education math and english at Lucerne Valley High School, his alma mater. After a successful academic year, he realized that teaching was not his calling. He moved to San Diego where he had a large group of friends and was able to return working remotely with the same insurance brokerage as before. In his leisure time, Tyler has taken up archery and is working on getting better with the traditional recurve bow. He is excited to get involved with the Swim With Mike UC San Diego event as well, as he is so grateful to be a part of this amazing organization and the opportunities that it has provided for him.
